Ideologist and founder of Hercules Marina and Saint Petersburg Yacht Club. He came to sailing sport in the 1990s through his interest in wind surfing. Then there were such classes as “Dragon”, Gazprom Swan 60, RC 44, Transpac52 and other. He is a skipper and steersman of Bronenosec Sailing Team that proudly wears the colors of the Russian flag in high-ranking sailing competitions of the world. World champion in classes Gazprom Swan 60 and RC 44. In 2012, sports achievements of Vladimir Lubomirov were recognized with the Russian Award “Yachtsman of the Year”, and in 2014, the team of Saint Petersburg Yacht Club – Bronenosec Sailing Team – was awarded as “Team of the year” at this ceremony.

One of those people, who came up with the idea to establish Saint Petersburg Yacht Club. He started sailing in 2003 at L-6 yacht. Later he formed a team in Dragon class, with which he participated in different Russian and international competitions. He actively develops sailing trainings for younger generation and encourages grown-ups to start sailing. His achievements, related to the establishment of Parusnik Club and development of sailing sport in Saint Petersburg, were recognized with the highest award at the ceremony “Yachtsman of the Year” in 2012.
